Should AI do this task? Make the call before the prompt.

Choose one task from your week. Answer five questions. Get a starting recommendation: automate a small trial, use AI as an assistant, or keep a person in charge.

This is a decision aid, not a security or legal review. Use a generic task label; do not enter client names, personal details, or confidential information. The worksheet runs in this page and does not submit your answers.

01 / Automate a trial

Clear rules, low stakes, and an output you can check. Review early results before scaling.

02 / Assist

Use AI to draft or organize. A person verifies, edits, and approves the final result.

03 / Human-led

Keep a person accountable when the consequence or data sensitivity is high.

The five-question check

Pick the answer that describes the task as it really operates today. If you are unsure, choose the more cautious answer and test with harmless sample material first.

1. Could a wrong result seriously harm a person, a client, or the business?

Think safety, money, legal duties, access, or a public claim that would be costly to correct.

2. Does the task require private, personal, or client-confidential information?

Answer yes even if you plan to remove names. Check the actual data before deciding where it may go.

3. Can you check the result against a reliable source or clear rule?

Could another person tell whether the answer is right without trusting the AI's confidence?

4. Does the task repeat with mostly the same steps?

A recurring structure makes a small automation trial easier to compare and improve.

5. Must a person approve, send, publish, or make the final decision?

Include client sign-off, public posting, payments, and changes to live systems.

Nothing is sent when you use this worksheet. For a real workflow, confirm tool permissions, data handling, owner, and approval steps before use.
